Did you know there are times we need each other? This is part 3 in my series on our family trip to Disney World.
Everybody was standing. For someone like myself who is taller than most, that’s not really an issue. But when you are 4’3″ or 4’6″, it makes things a little more challenging.
That was precisely the problem for my kids during the closing program at Disney World last month. They could only see parts of the video display on Cinderella’s castle, missing the whole picture, and feeling quite alone and frustrated.
That is, until their Grandparents helped them out. Legs balancing on a stroller, small arms clutching necks, Nathan was held up by his Papaw while Anna was supported by her Grammy, and all of a sudden, they could see everything. But they needed help, and help was gladly given.
Isn’t that a beautiful picture of how God created us?
He made the taller to lift up the shorter and equipped those that have, to reach out a hand to those in need.
Galatians 6:2-3 says it so simply.
Do you need help but are too proud to ask?
I promise you there is someone who wants to come alongside you.
Who can you help that is in need today?
Simply acts of service allow both the helper and the cared for, to witness the full picture of God’s majesty, as a small piece of His Kingdom comes here on earth, as it is in Heaven.

5 things we get by serving others
