We started Pray TV on the WTLW TV 44 Facebook Page. Each Tuesday at 10am and Friday at Noon, 2 of us will pray for requests that you submit and we would love for you to join us on the live broadcast to pray with us.
Preparations
Last Friday as I was preparing for the prayer time, I read about Jesus giving his disciples instructions on how to prepare for the Passover Dinner.
Matthew 26:18-19
I’d heard this story before, but a new connection came to mind.
A Journey
What if our prayer life is similar to the disciples journey? It doesn’t appear that they really knew who this man was, or where they would cross paths with him. But they trusted and obeyed. They had faith.
Pray
What if when we pray, God is guiding that request to precisely the place where He will give us the answer. We enter into conversation with the Creator and He is drawing us closer to Him, growing our faith through the process of that particular prayer. So many times when I have prayed for something, the answer hasn’t materialized right away. Some things I am praying for, still don’t have a resolution. But maybe I am still on that journey, in search of the ‘certain man’ who will unlock the door to the room that Jesus has already prepared.
This gives me encouragement to keep praying fervently and not give up hope as James instructs us to do (5:16).
