Healing from the Pain of Abortion is Possible

Since 1973, 60 million plus abortions have taken place in the United States alone. That is twice the population of the state of Texas.

Concepts of Truth International was founded in 1998 by Dale and Millie Lace with a mission of sharing God’s truth about life around the world. They provide a 24/7 international helpline with confidential care, recovery and training weekends, professional counseling, sexual health curriculum for schools, monthly support groups and more. God has recently opened doors at the United Nations, allowing Concept to provide direct services in many countries.

Sherry Neuenschwander is the Ohio Director of Concepts of Truth and recently spoke at a Lunch and Learn hosted at Lima Community Church along with the help of Union Chapel Missionary Church and Spencerville First Baptist Church.

Sherry began working with Concepts of Truth over 12 years ago, starting out as a phone consultant. In 2010 she opened the Ohio office and is excited to see God expanding the reach of this ministry that offers abortion healing to men and women.  Last year in Ohio alone, 12 babies were saved through the helpline.

Event attendees checking in.

“Much debate has taken place over the years about the right or wrong of abortion, but what is often forgotten in debate is that abortion is about people, those who have perished and those who are responsible.” said Sherry. “This debate is about lives. Anyone who has been touched by abortion knows it is life changing. There is increased physical illness, psychological distress and stunted emotional and spiritual growth along with so much else.”

Statistics indicate one out of four women in the United States has experienced the effect of abortion by the age of 30. And for every woman, there is a man affected also. Nearly half of women have had one abortion by age 45. Psychology Today states that,  “Women who have had an abortion have an 81 percent higher risk of subsequent mental health problems compared to women who have not had an abortion.”

Event Organizers & International Helpline Staff

Sherry says, grief after abortion is disenfranchised and voiceless and thus is many times left unresolved. As the body of Christ, how can we create a platform of healing? Sherry would love to help equip churches, pastors and individuals to create an environment of healing.

If you would like more information on having Sherry Neuenschwander speak at your church or small group, please contact her at the information below. Do you have a heart for these hurting women and men? Concepts of Truth, International (or COTI) is looking for volunteers! Please contact Sherry to see how you can be used as a light in a very dark place.
