Sunday night, November 17, 2019, hundreds gathered to worship together with the nationally known singing trio, Selah.

The purpose, overall, was to glorify God for the 10 year anniversary of Celebrate Recovery in Lima. This ministry was brought to Lima in November, 2009, starting in one location. There are now 8 meeting sites in and within a 25 mile radius of Lima. Click here to see those sites. The organizers say this ministry has changed their lives, and the lives of so many others.

10 Years Ago

Sandy Monfort: “What happened, just over 10 years ago, is I was going back to work, listening to praise and worship music, and heard about a faith based group in Fort Wayne who worked with people’s hurts, habits, and hangups. I thought to myself that this program would be great for many of the people I worked with. Never in my wildest dreams did I realize it would be such an important thing for me. So, Kelly Biese and I went on a trip to learn more about Celebrate Recovery and from there it took off. When I think about the individuals who started it [in Lima}, including myself, I know that my life has completely changed. Seeing a lot of the men and women who are in recovery from depression, from post traumatic stress, from substance use, seeing them now out in churches doing God’s work. In some cases, there are people who are now willing to attend church. It’s been such a blessing. “

Selah Sings at the Anniversary Event
