Converge 2018 brought an amazing time of unity and worship as area church choirs gathered together to form “one” choir and sang during the first part of the conference. It was an example of the recurring theme of “Unity” that Converge 2018 was focusing on this year and the attendees joined in their songs of worship as the Converge Choir sang three songs, one of them being “Say Amen” by Finding Favour.

Converge challenged the attendees to walk with this example of unity in their everyday lives by joining together as one body for Christ and witness the good news to those around them. As the choir lead worship, a sense of connectedness filled the room while hands were raised and eyes were closed. A beautiful picture of what Heaven feels like, I suppose.

Perhaps you’re feeling disconnected or discouraged about what community is to you. I encourage you to begin asking God what you can do to create what you’re missing. Maybe there is a soft nudge to open your backyard for a community dinner or game night with your neighbors. Whatever resources you have, I encourage you to start fostering the community you long for. It’s in these moments of authenticity, that we find there are people who feel just like us- longing for a sense of unity.
