I was driving this morning and noticed 2 beams of sunlight on the road in front of me. They seemed to be guiding my path down Spencerville road towards Lima. But then there was a bend in the road and something happened. I turned but the sun didn’t.
A few miles later, the road turned back toward my original direction, and the sun was back in my view, guiding me home once again.
It brought to mind a beautiful picture of our spiritual journeys. The road is windy and can cause us to take our eyes off the Son. Those are hard times when it may feel like He isn’t there.
But He is. He never changes. And sometimes, at just the right time, the road comes back so we can see Him more clearly and know that He is still working in our lives. Sometimes it takes awhile, much longer than we’d like, but He never stops working.
The sun never stops shining. Neither does the Son.
