The National Day of Prayer 2017
Pastor Damian Tibbs of New Life Christian Ministries, and a Deputy Sheriff with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, spoke at the 66th observance of the National Day of Prayer. This year, dozens of local pastors and community leaders gathered together in unity. This sense of unity was furthered by the over 50,000 other events nationwide as a part of the Day of Prayer. A Wonderful Plea
Hear us. Forgive us. Heal us. This is the cry that went up that day, and praise God that He has already provided a way for this to happen.
His Namesake
Pastor Tibbs also highlights that once we become a child of God, we become His namesake. Adopted into His family, reconciled to Him, and He has already given us an outline as to how we get prayers answered.

We are His people! We must all come together.
There is no pure denomination: only pure religion. This is what churches must begin doing! When we are unified, this is when we’ll hear from heaven.
Hearers, but not Doers
We must be doers. It is obedience that releases forgiveness and healing. We can follow the example of Jesus from the garden when He obediently followed God’s will and not His. We must pick up our cross for His namesake, rising together to the occasion and honoring our Savior. John 3:16 may save our souls, but Jon 3:30 keeps us humble and in prayer.
Are we faithful? Are we doing our part? Jesus has already finished his part. It’s time for us now!
