What does the number 35 mean to you? Here at TV 44, it means three and a half decades of Witnessing the Living Word throughout the region. June 13, 2017 marked TV 44’s 35th birthday.

If we look back in the history books, we will find many changes in our country and in our world. Presidents have come and gone. Wars have been fought. Morals and values have changed, but the true message of Jesus Christ remains unchanged, and that is what we continue to broadcast here at TV-44

Being the Light

Matthew 5:14-16 says,
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Originally, that light shone in the form of an airport tower. The current (and only) location of the TV 44 studios was originally built to be an airport. But when Ron Mighell toured the dilapidated hangar, he didn’t see an abandoned structure: he saw the beacon of light that the location could become.

From day one, it has been the purpose of TV 44 to be that light, shining through the broadcast airwaves, into the community and as a partner with ministries. There have been many serious moments, but also many times of fun and laughter.
